Overview
The Black Mist No.05 is a soft filter that reduces contrast and provides a cinematic look. It is made by sandwiching ultra-fine black diffusion material between optical glass.
It gently reduces resolution, creating a nostalgic, film-like atmosphere reminiscent of classic cinema.
For nightscape photography in particular, it subtly diffuses light sources, producing a soft glow, and in backlit scenes, it lowers contrast, adding a delicate, dreamy feel. For portraits, it smooths skin texture, giving a soft, veiled appearance.
