Condensation is the biggest enemy in astrophotography. The usual countermeasure is to use a lens heater. However, when using lens filters, the filters exposed to the air also need to be heated. Since a lens heater warms indirectly from the outside of the lens, it is difficult to sufficiently heat the center of the filter.
The "Anti-Fog" series solves this problem by generating heat directly within the filter itself, enabling rapid heating all the way to the center.
Anti-Fog STARRY NIGHT is a light pollution cut filter that suppresses color cast from city lights.
A light pollution cut filter that suppresses color cast caused by city lights. Streetlights such as sodium or mercury lamps can cause the night sky to take on yellow or orange tones. Using this filter reduces that color cast, allowing more natural color reproduction. Even when finishing your work with image-processing software, preemptively cutting light pollution with this filter reduces editing steps and makes RAW development easier.
