Description

Usually, Cross Screen filter is used in landscapes to show the sparkling surface of the water, sun rays coming through the leaves or in portraits to bring a shiny ascent to ear- rings and neckless. In video - to reproduce rhythmical mood of the scene.

Kenko REALRO R-CROSS SCREEN consists of two frames and a glass. One of the frames is rotatable ("R" in the name means Rotation). Star pattern effect is achieved by tiny grooves on the glass surface that makes light reflect and create a star patterns.

You can rotate the star pattern by rotating the front frame of the filter to achieve the desired effect. It is also should be noticed that the star pattern may differ and depends on the light source power, shooting distance or current f-number of the lens.

star_aperturePhotographs with dramatic flares shining from bright light sources are quite common and popular. They look dramatic and make image more appealing to the eye. The effect itself can be achieved through small aperture, when diaphragm blades reflect the light and create rays.

However, it is not always possible to shoot with small aperture. Limited light volume, usage of tripod to prevent shaking and other circumstances that require long shutter speed makes everything complicated. In such cases, just one filter will greatly help to obtain the desirable effect.

Without filter With Kenko REALPRO R-CROSS SCREEN filter

Kenko REALPRO R-CROSS SCREEN was especially designed to create four-cross flares on their pictures without long exposure. Position of the cross pattern can be controlled by the front filter frame.

High light transmittance

reflection

Usually sensors of digital cameras are more sensitive than film. That's why highlights can affect the image, creating unwanted effects due to light refraction in the lens. Filters, as they are also optical elements, can make the situation even worth. That is why filters need anti-reflective coating. Kenko REALPRO R-CROSS SCREEN adopts anti reflective multi coating to eliminate even small chance of unwanted flares and ghosts in the image.

REALPRO R-CROSS SCREEN optical filters have double anti-reflective coating which is used to eliminate the slight chance of highlights and unwanted ghosting caused by reflections.

Slim Frame

Use with any lens and with no loss of light. REALPRO R-CROSS SCREEN adopts ultra thin frame to avoid vignetting effect on wide and super wide angle lenses.

Knurling Edge Frame

frameThe frame of REALPRO R-CROSS SCREEN is equipped with knurling surface to prevent slipping, making attachment and removal easy and stress-free.

Black Almite Frame

glassTo reduce to minimum any unwanted reflections REALPRO R-CROSS SCREEN adopts black aluminum satin finish almite frame. Satin finish will increase friction between fingers and frame for quick operation and satin black frame will minimize internal reflections.

Black Rimmed Glass

To reduce the internal light reflections off the edge of the filter glass Kenko uses the technology of black rimming. The outer rim of the glass plate is treated with a specific black ink prevent any leaking of the light.

Wide Variety of Sizes

REALPRO R-CROSS SCREEN is available in diameters from 49mm to 82mm.

UV Protected Case

Every REALPRO filter comes with durable re-usable plastic case with UV-cut function. Since the polarization film is sensitive to UV light REALPRO case will lengthen life of the filter. case

General care and handling of the photographic filter

  1. Use filter carefully and always keep it clean. When cleaning use cleaning tissue or cleaning cloth. But before that remove as much dust and dirt as possible from the lens with a blower or brush.
  2. Avoid unnecessary cleaning of your filter.
  3. Filter is made of glass. When it is broken glass fragments may injure.
  4. Do not disassemble filter by yourself.
  5. When the filter is not attached to the lens, store it away from sharp objects. They may damage the filter glass.
  6. Keep filter away from children.
  7. Keep filters in plastic hard-sided case or filter pouch.
  8. Keep filters dry and away from direct sun light.
  9. Avoid storage in high humidity environment. Moisture drops due to the high humidity or dew on the filter can burn the coating and create traces on the glass surface that can be hardly wiped off.
