Shooting Notes
- The angle of the cross effect can be adjusted by rotating the front ring.
- Cross effects are most effective when photographing point light sources and may not appear as intended on linear light sources such as fluorescent lamps.
- The appearance of the effect varies depending on the brightness of the light source, lens focal length, and aperture setting.
- Under flat lighting conditions with little or no sparkle in the subject, the filter may produce only a subtle effect.
Depending on shooting conditions, mesh-like flare patterns may occur when strong light sources are present in the frame. - The filter pattern may appear in out-of-focus highlights (bokeh).
