With over 350,000 followers* on X, photographer Akine Coco, known both in Japan and abroad for evocative images reminiscent of "anime scenes", has supervised the development of the NOSTALTONE series. The newest addition, NOSTALTONE GREEN, joins the lineup.
The NOSTALTONE series was created to transform even familiar landscapes into moving, emotionally rich scenes – "like a frame from an anime". These filters add warmth, nostalgia, and a softly dramatic look through subtle flare and ghost effects, capturing a distinctly sentimental atmosphere.
Following the popular NOSTALTONE ORANGE and NOSTALTONE BLUE, the new NOSTALTONE GREEN expands the series lineup.

Create a Nostalgic Atmosphere with Soft Green Tones
A gentle, transparent green tint spreads softly across the entire image, creating a nostalgic atmosphere.
In lush, green scenes, it enhances the vibrancy of natural greens. Blue skies shift slightly toward cyan tones, evoking both freshness and warmth, with a subtle sense of nostalgia.
The filter reduces contrast between highlights and shadows, helping to preserve gradation and prevent blown highlights, giving images a film-like mood.
Using the NOSTALTONE GREEN filter produces a nostalgic look straight out of the camera, similar to an image that's been artistically adjusted with editing software.

Occasional Pink-Toned Ghosting for a Dreamlike Accent
While NOSTALTONE GREEN offers a mild soft-focus effect, it diffuses light beautifully in backlit or side-lit scenes and when strong light sources are included.
This gentle diffusion lowers contrast slightly, creating soft, impressionistic light with a delicate glow.
Subtly Diffused Light for a Soft, Dreamy Look
To achieve its nostalgic mood, the NOSTALTONE series uses a coating that intentionally allows surface reflections to appear more easily.
As a result, depending on the angle of incoming backlight, pinkish ghost effects may appear, adding a subtle, dreamlike accent to your photos.

Usage tips
- Because the green tint is applied strongly, fort a clearer, more transparent look, it’s recommended to apply positive exposure compensation.
Cautions
- The filter glass is intentionally coated to make reflections more likely, enhancing its expressive effect. The appearance of colorful ghosting is a design feature, not a defect.
- The filter glass appears green when seen through transmitted light, but pink when viewed in reflected light.
